Chapter Philanthropy

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping sick children across North America. The 170 hospitals within CMN Hospitals take care of children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. These hospitals help children with asthma and broken bones, to cancer and sickle cell anemia and everything in between. To date, Phi Mu nationally has raised more than $2.2 billion for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The money raised provides care for the children and on-going research to find a cure for all these illnesses.

All money that our chapter raises goes to our local children's hospital, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, also known as CHOP. So what does the Phi Beta chapter do to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals? Each semester we hold different kinds of philanthropy events to bring in support including a male "beauty" pageant we call Mr. CMNH, and of course, our Balloons for Hope 72-hour table sitting event where passerbys can buy event bracelets and keychains, as well as simply donate money. The sisters of Phi Mu are so thankful to take part in supporting the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

Aside from the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, the sisters of Phi Beta also try to participate in other various Philanthropy events on campus to support our fellow Greek members throughout the year, such as Sigma Alpha Epsilon's True Gentlemen's Dinner, Alpha Delta Pi's Rock-A-Thon, Sigma Kappa's Walk to End Alzheimers, Pi Kappa Phi's Ability Experience and Alpha Sigma Phi's Pond-a-Thon for Active Minds.
